The Novel – Rani’s Right

We’re all writing a novel aren’t we? This one’s my baby. I started on it in 2004 and it’s been through a number of sleep cycles over the years.

I have featured some of its opening paragraphs on Six Sentence Sunday so I won’t reveal too much of the plot but it’s basically a Young Adults story packed with action, racial and religious conflict, moral dilemmas, tragedy, love and laughter.

Written from the point of view of an indigenous Australian girl who makes an amazing friend and then loses her. Twice.
The first time was bad enough, despite the inevitability. The second time was a shock. She becomes obsessed about why and delusional about getting her back. Or does she?

Check out my Six Sentence Sunday index for snippets from this exciting novel.
