Scaling Images for Websites

Last week I hastily posted a rant about massive images used in some web pages and web formatted email newsletters.

Fingers have since been pointed at Mailchimp, a popular mass mailout service, for the bungle. Apparently Mailchimp says it scales images that are published with emailouts. It does, sort of. Continue reading

Installing 32 Bit Applications on a 64 Bit Ubuntu Linux Box

Okay, long story short. A small percentage of computer users run Ubuntu Linux instead of Window or Mac. An even smaller percentage run 64 bit versions. But I guess many of them want to use 32 bit apps like LibreOffice (many) and Scrivener (fewer). Continue reading
