Six Sentence Sunday #4

Happy Sunday, everyone!

My fourth Six Sentence Sunday instalment from my up and coming novel continues from last week and which continues from… okay, for a list of previous sixes that might help you catch up, copy & paste “six sunday” into the search box at the top right.

In this week’s six I’ve jumped forward a little to give you a little more insight into our protagonist.

I’ve never kept a diary before. Never felt the need. The life of this ordinary girl growing up in the quiet country town of Omeo isn’t so exciting that it justifies recording in a diary. That’s how I felt about my life anyway. Until now. It’s not that I want to say “Hey people, country girl miraculously survives plane crash”, or even “Crash survivor watches as beloved rescuer is shot in cold blood”.

There’s nothing like stopping in the middle of a paragraph but hey, thems the rules. 😉 Next week continues from here.

I’m starting to rethink the paragraph this came from, now. The other half of it will be out next week. I’d be interested to hear your opinion of these two sixes as a single paragraph. Cheers! 🙂

Thanks Maddie. A cliffhanger – interesting. As I suggested above, it wasn’t meant to be as it came from the beginning of a paragraph. Might need a rethink depending on next week’s feedback. Cheers! 🙂

Maybe cliffhanger wasn’t the best choice of words. Possibly the sentences are setting the stage for what she will write about? They were intriguing sentences, nonetheless. Looking forward to the next six. 🙂
